This Veterans Day, we’re reminded not only of the sacrifices made by those who served, but also of the responsibility we all share to ensure veterans and their families receive the care and benefits they’ve earned.
At Together in Caring, we’re proud to stand beside veterans and their loved ones in navigating the often-complex world of Veteran’s benefits. Our Care Management team helps identify programs and entitlements that may go overlooked or underutilized, sometimes resulting in life-changing outcomes.
Recently, we worked with a veteran who served during the Vietnam War and was exposed to Agent Orange. His disability status and ongoing health-related diagnosis had not been fully recognized in his benefit assessment. By partnering closely with his assigned VA social worker, our team reviewed his case in detail, facilitated all necessary paperwork, and advocated on his behalf.
The result? His monthly income increased by over $4,000—a tremendous improvement that now allows him to live more comfortably and confidently.
Stories like his remind us why this work matters. Many veterans and their spouses are unaware of the full range of benefits they may qualify for, whether related to service-connected conditions, long-term care needs, or surviving spouse benefits.
If you know a veteran or the spouse of a veteran who could use help understanding or applying for VA benefits, our team is here to help. We’ll guide you through the process, coordinate with VA representatives, and ensure no opportunity for support is left unexplored.
Contact Together in Caring today to learn how we can help you or someone you love maximize their benefits and secure the peace of mind they deserve.
